The Pagan Voting Project

“One of the earliest forms of democracy inGreece
was introduced by Cleisthenes in 508 BC.
Each year voters were asked to cast a vote for the politician
they most wished to exile for ten years.
All in all, it’s not a bad system.

The Pagan Voting Project is designed to register Earthwise voters nation-wide and to encourage them to vote in the November election. We don’t tell the Earthwise Community how to vote but we do encourage Pagans to be informed and active citizens.

This project has two components:

Part I: Getting the Word Out:

Web Builders can take and post our Lady Liberty graphics on their websites.  This will get out the word about the project nation-wide, and we are very grateful for your help.  Using these graphics will also encourage the Earthwise community to vote.  There are several versions of these graphics to choose from – please pick whichever ones you want.

We chose the image of Lady Liberty (AKA The Goddess of Democracy) for a very good reason. You can read about about her here.

These lovely banner ads were created for us by Pagan artist Abby Willowroot.  This copyright belongs to her - please respect that fact.

Pagan groups and individuals can send out word via their email lists about this project – please refer people to this website

Everyone is welcome to copy and spread our list of 13 Reasons Why Pagans Should Vote. If you use these 13 Reasons, we ask is that you give credit to FCE and provide the web address to the Pagan Voting Project on that same page.

Part II: Registering Voters:

These graphics each contain a link which will bring people to our Pagan Voting Project website.  From here:

  • Pagans can register to vote on line or by mail.
  • They can read about the candidates and the issues, via links to non-partisian websites.
  • They can find information on how to set up a Voter Registration table at their next event.
  • They can find information on voting in general, including information on absentee ballots, voting overseas, the new machines being used at polling places, etc.

Ads for this project will appear in various magazines courtesy of the publishers.   A list of our Sponsors and Supporters can be found at our website.  If you would like to become a Sponsor, please contact us.

This is a non-profit, non-partisian effort, which is staffed entirely by volunteers.  Our thanks go out to the Earthwise community for their help and support.
